With the death of Osama Bin Laden, more and more Americans are picking up their belief in our country and support for what we have endured for the last 10 years as we searched for this terrible man.
The sale of US flags has gone up, according to the news. Young people are waving the flags and celebrating in the streets. Remembering what happened to our country 10 years ago is ever present on our minds, but now young people are learning more about those events and understanding the terror of that day.
There will be no end to the terrible memories of what happened on 9/11 but we can look back and know that the evil that started that day has been taken off from this plane of existence. Yes his believers are still here and we must continue to be vigilant, but it makes me smile to know that no country even wanted his body for burial, and that is why he was buried at sea.
Bin Laden was clearly a man without a country at the end of his life, no one wanted his body and no one wanted to know where he would be laid to rest. Becoming fish bait is right for a man who took so many innocent lives due to his evil.
I do hope that the NFL takes steps to fine the player that was posting tweets in support of Bin Laden yesterday, Steeler, Rashard Mendenhall. That is treason behavior to support a criminal that took out so many of your fellow countrymen and is the person responsible for the loss of so many military men and women over the last 10 years. Not to mention, Pat Tillman who played for the NFL, and lost his life defending our country looking for this terrorist.
Why would anyone tweet support for Bin Laden and say we have only heard one side of the story? If that NFL team keeps this player on their team, then he should not be promoted doing anything outside of the team that would influence young people.
Yes we are a country of free speech, but supporting Bin Laden when you play for the NFL? What is the deal? You look stupid with tweets like that and I for one am glad that the NFL has been on strike so this particular player doesn’t profit from his stupidity. I hope you lose your job for your tweets. What a disgrace to all of our military men and women who have supported the NFL over the years, to have some arrogant NFL player show support for Bin Laden.
You know how I feel about people like the NFL player who supports Bin Laden, go find another country and live in it and get out of ours. You don’t deserve to be here! Oh, they won’t have a NFL to pay you high salary either, so get used to going without, because I hope you will soon not have much.
