Penn State Students Will Wear Blue To Honor Victims– Hey They Woke UP!

Last night on HLN it was announced that Penn State Students will wear blue on Saturday to honor the Victims of Jerry Sandusky during the Football Game with Nebraska. All I can say is IT IS ABOUT TIME THEY WOKE UP!

The riot that the country observed the other night was about a bunch of spoiled kids showing their anger over the trustees doing the right thing by firing Paterno and the school president.  These Penn State Students should march on Jerry Sandusky’s home and shout outside of his home all night.

Contributions raised on Saturday for victims of child abuse should be diverted to this victims of Jerry Sandusky who will be in therapy for many years as they fight depression and addiction issues because of what he did to them.

The abuse brought on to these poor boys by this coach was unthinkable and there is no one who can ever begin to think what the parents and the boys are going through with the aftermath that he has given to them.

It is about time that Penn State Woke UP and the rest of the Colleges around this country to the abuse that can happen.  I do not believe in putting coaches on pedestals.  They are men and human.  We all make mistakes and yes we can all be forgiven for those mistakes.  But turning your backs on children being abused is not one mistake that I can forgive too easily.

Children are defenseless and they need to be protected. I keep asking myself, why that young man who is now an assistant coach didn’t tackle Jerry Sandusky in the shower and put that little boy in an ambulance right then and call the police.   I just get angry thinking about how he could have protected that little boy and he didn’t.  Well none of them did, so I have no forgiveness now for any of them.  Maybe in a few years, but not now.

My heart goes out to those parents and those boys who need help and therapy to overcome this abuse.

Penn State Resignations Should Have Come Long Ago!

 

Last night the Penn State Trustees asked for the Resignation of the President of the College, Graham Spanier, and the revered head football coach, Joe Paterno.  All of this over the allegations of child sexual abuse from an assistant coach who abused little boys in the campus locker room several years ago.  The main question is why weren’t the police notified when the report was given by a young man who alerted his coach with what he saw?

You would think this would have been a major RED FLAG to Joe Paterno and the President of the College if a CRIME was being Committed on their grounds to Call the POLICE!!!

But no, they swept it under the rug and allowed this pedophile to continue to abuse more little boys with his”foundation” and there wasn’t anyone protecting the CHILDREN.  That is the question at hand here and that is why the Trustees took such drastic steps to  force the President and Paterno out and off of the campus.

Think about this for one moment.  A crime happens on your campus.  Do you do anything to stop it?  Do you just turn your back and walk away?  What do you do if you are the most visible football coach in college history?  Of course you report it to your superiors, but you should also report it to the POLICE!!!

Mandatory Reporting Laws call for it!!  Children need to be protected and the protection didn’t happen and 9 young boys were victims from the assistant coach, Jerry Sandusky, who was indicted on 40 counts of sexual abuse.

Penn State Students may have rioted on campus last night, but they need to remember, this is not about FOOTBALL, it is about the ABUSE of CHILDREN!!   Children who were not protected and were the Victims!

Lindsey Lohan In Handcuffs Again, Does She Care???

If you missed it, poor Lindsey was in court again yesterday, and yes her probation was revoked from her because she has not been performing her community service at the Women’s Center on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles.  It appears she failed to show nine times, and maybe showed up twice for an hour or two, or maybe less and decided it wasn’t fulfilling for her, so she quit.

Seems poor Lindsey now wants to dictate to the court where she goes and what she wants to do for her community service and had found a Red Cross she was “volunteering” for in the LA area.  Her bail was set at $100,000 and L.A. County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner told Lohan that if she wanted to mitigate any further punishment, she should complete 16 hours of community service at the county coroner’s office between now and her Nov. 2 probation violation hearing. (That’s about two weeks away)

You would think that the court system in Los Angeles would wake up and realize this girl is playing them for all she is worth.  She knows she can get out of jail with a bond, and that the jail is not going to keep her for any length of time, so she is out within hours.  No problem for Lindsey, in and out, the jail door swings again!!

The problem with all Lindsey’s antics is she is not getting any drug treatment and her behavior is getting worse.  She needs inpatient treatment and a court-ordered half-way house or residential treatment for over a year.  Not one where she wears a bracelet and gets tested.  We know that doesn’t work with her and she doesn’t care.  One where she is shipped off to Utah or Idaho where there is no plane to hop on and jet over to Europe and get plastered.

Drastic measures to save Lindsey’s life is what is needed and I hope that someone steps up soon, or we will be having another celebrity funeral soon.

In California, Oct. 16 is Steve Jobs Day

To honor the man who was one of our greatest inventor’s.  He created a corporation that helped many of us everyday with its products.

Occupy Wall Street needs to wake up and realize without great inventors and great spirit like Steve Jobs we would have no progress in our country and there would be no jobs for anyone!

Remembering Steve Jobs In His Own Words From Stanford Commencement

After learning of Steve Job’s passing yesterday, it is only right that I post this video of his own words from 2005 where he tells college graduates how to grab onto life.  We should all have his zeal and live each day the way Steve Jobs did and leave contributions for those in our lives.

Many of us use what Steve Jobs created daily.  I love my music and gave an I-pod to my daughter as a Christmas present several years ago.  She has held on to that I-pod and takes it with her everywhere.

I pray that Steve Job’s family will find their way in the next few months without him.  He will leave a huge void for most of us, but one too large to imagine for his family.  Rest in peace Steve and make heaven brighter now that you are there.

Bevy of Beauties May Sink Defense in Conrad Murray Trial

Yesterday, the jury in the Conrad Murray trial was witness to three of Conrad Murray’s extra marital women. One testified that she was on the phone with Murray, when she heard coughing and people talking, but it seemed the phone was in Murray’s pocket and he had stopped talking.

Could that have been the exact time, that Michael Jackson was dying?  That will be the question on the jury’s mind as they prepare to hear more taped testimony today about what Conrad Murray told the police.  They will also hear an expanded version of the call he taped from Michael Jackson on his phone.

If Conrad Murray was on the phone to one of his “women” while Michael was fighting for his last breath, then it will be all she wrote.  The exact time of death is the question in this trial.  Murray lied to the paramedics when they arrived saying that Michael Jackson had only been down a few minutes, but they said his eyes were fixed and that Michael had no pulse.

The paramedics testified last week that Michael’s body was cool to the touch and his eyes were dry.  Not exactly what they would find for a person who had just coded.  This week the ER doctor has testified that they could not find a pulse on Michael Jackson when he came to the ER.

Conrad Murray did not want anyone to stop their attempts at revival, he wanted the ER doctors and the paramedics to continue CPR for as long as possible.  Could it be that Murray knew Michael was dead, but couldn’t admit it?

Conrad Murray’s character is not on trial, but his care for his patient is and did he show that he cared for Michael, by stepping out of the room and making many calls?  Shouldn’t he have been in the room, watching Michael’s breathing?

He did not have any machines with an alarm on Michael Jackson, like there are in the hospitals for when a patient stop breathing, so why did Conrad Murray step out?  Those questions are at the heart of the prosecution case.  Not to mention the use of the drug that killed Michael Jackson.

I’m glad that Michael’s mother left the country and took his children to a concert to honor Michael.  I’m sure they needed to remember the good things about their father, and just take a break from this terrible trial.  As this trial continues, we will see more come out about Michael’s condition, and what Conrad Murray did or didn’t do to save Michael Jackson’s life.

Conrad Murray Trail Takes Up the Airwaves At Night!

If you were out of the country the last few days, then you may not be aware that the Conrad Murray trial has begun in Los Angeles about the death of Michael Jackson and if he was negligent in  causing Michael’s  death.

Each night here in Los Angeles and during the day, the television news stations are there from sun-up until close of court each day.  If you thought the Casey Anthony trial was big, then you haven’t seen how big this trial is.

Nightly, we hear what the highlights were in court, and the sadness of his children seeing their father dying (dead) on his bed in his bedroom in their home. ( I say dying or dead because that is the bone of contention by some of the witnesses scheduled today, the paramedics will take the stand)

Yesterday, we learned from the body-guard, that Dr. Murray was doing CPR with one hand and giving orders with the other.  Most of us who have taken CPR courses know that you always use both hands, and you have the patient on a flat hard-surfaced, not a bed, but Dr. Murray was giving CPR on a bed.

Just hearing  that the doctor was giving CPR on the bed, made me question whether this cardiologist knew what he was doing giving CPR to Michael Jackson.  Most of my doctors, I would hope know how to administer CPR and if they don’t then I do not feel they are good doctors.

In a life-saving profession like medicine, it is required to have CPR training routinely, but yet after the testimony yesterday, it seems that Dr. Murray missed his routine training. This is mandated by several commissions that authorize hospitals to run and grant licenses.

Having to work during the day, I can only see the tweets from the local news crew, and it is frightening to see some of what is  coming out each day.  The bodyguard said yesterday, that Dr. Murray wanted help in putting the medical bottles away in a bag.  He didn’t want the Ambulance staff to see these in the room. (Makes you wonder what he was doing? Was he taking care of Michael or himself?)

This trial is for the greatest singer our generation has known in the music business and most of us grew up with Michael and the family on television.  We felt like we lost a member of the family when he died.  I do not know how much of what Michael Jackson did or how his own drug use contributed to his death, but I’m sure that will come out in the next few weeks.

My sympathy is for his family that they must hear some of these terrible things that the doctor did or didn’t do.  His children will always remember that day no matter what they do for the rest of their life.  May there be some peace for them when this trial is over.

Watching Toddlers & Tiaras, These Moms Need To Be Watched by Child Protective!

Last night, my adult daughter and I were watching the Toddlers & Tiaras show and we could not believe this one mother who was convincing herself that her daughter had an alter ego, called Darla, who came on stage and took over for her daughter, whose name was Carla.

I was astounded at this mother who dyed her daughter’s hair while Carla is saying she wants it brown, and the mother is not listening.  The mother is continuing to push this child into doing pageants when this child doesn’t want to do them, she wants to stop, but the mother is ignoring her daughter, Carla and just pushing past any of her requests.

The most frightening part was this little girl, was actually exhibiting signs of a dual personality, not an alter ego, when the little girl says, “Carla is in the car, Darla is here” The mother just continues to allow this behavior and encourages it, instead of noticing that her daughter doesn’t want to do pageants, and she is escaping with this other personality.

I almost wish Dr. Phil had watched this program so he could see it or Dr. Drew, because it was appalling that this mother is completely ignoring her daughter’s personality and making her into another image like the mother.  You even here the mother say that during the program.

The Mom whose daughter paraded like Pretty Woman has decided to take a break from the show and give her daughter some time to be a little girl.  I was so glad to hear that, because these children are being pushed to be something they are not, and that is a model of a doll and not a little girl.

George & Cindy Anthony Back on Dr. Phil, Part 3,Today!

Well the saga continues and it will be interesting to see what is revealed today, from George on Dr. Phil’s Show today, part 3.  I must admit, that I have not been that surprised by George’s view on Casey.   His law enforcement background and the way he talked to the police, I knew he had made up his mind about Casey’s guilt.

We may not ever know how Caylee died, but like George, she was in Casey’s care, so she is responsible.  Even though Cindy doesn’t agree with that interpretation, I think George is right.

Dr. Phil is not sparing any punches when it comes to Cindy.  He is trying to wake her up to the reality of the situation, and she just keeps drifting back to her own reality, very similar to her daughter, if you ask me.

Cindy has her views on what happened to her granddaughter, and to Casey and it is not anything close to how George sees it.  With this large of a question between them, it will be surprising if they can stay together through all of this going back and forth over how Caylee died.

Cindy feels that God let Casey go free, it wasn’t God, Cindy it was 12 jurors who didn’t do a very good job of interpreting the evidence in my opinion.  I still feel that the lightning strike on the tree where Caylee was found was a sign that God was not happy with the verdict.

Of course it is over, and we must all move on, and that is what George is trying to do, I think he is actually wanting Dr. Phil’s help in this matter.  I really hope that Dr. Phil can give George and Cindy something to help them through this terrible nightmare created by their daughter, Casey.

Dr. Phil Interview Continues Today With George & Cindy Anthony

Yes, I watched yesterday, and I must admit, Cindy did try to excuse Casey’s behavior away with three different reasons, all of which Dr. Phil showed her that none of which could be the cause of her actions.  Cindy did point out that Casey had a Grand Mal seizure  twice and even though she had been worked up in a hospital setting for 3 days, they did not find a cause for the seizure.

The second reason was Post Postpartum Schizophrenia, I know Cindy is a nurse, but she is not a mental health nurse and I think she made this one up, to try to get sympathy for Casey or some reason in her mind to explain her daughter’s behavior.

Finally Cindy hinted that maybe her daughter might have a brain tumor.  The hospital when they did their work-up for the seizures did many tests and they did not find a brain tumor, and I do not think a brain tumor exists.

What I think that Cindy and George are going to have to face is that Casey is a psychopathic liar and she has no remorse for what she did and only has feeling for herself.  It will be interesting to see that George appears to have already pieced some of the facts together, but he seems to be keeping them to himself.

He may be wanting Dr. Phil to move into these directions to help convince Cindy because George may not be able to lead Cindy there himself.  I hope that these two do find some peace when this is done, they have had their own place in hell so far.
